Default 3 mobile broadband - 17-07-08, 08:46 PM

Hi

2 months ago i purchased a ZTE MF622 USB modem on the 3 mobile broadband pay as you go system and i have simple been unable to use the damn thing. I understand that i have to purchase a internet "add on" from the 3 site this i have tried to do god knows how many times with the £10 that is in the account over the last 6 weeks but all i ever get is "sorry this service is unavailabe please try again later" i have also tried to register my cash card on the site so i can easly top up the account on the move and all i ever get is the same message.

Am i doing something wrong? has anyone else had this problem?

I tried there tech help and they new less than i did, i have also written a couple of emails but have been fobed off, im getting angry now as i have payed good money for it and its just useless.

Any help greatfully recived

Thanks

Steve

Hi Steve,

You shouldn't need to purchase an internet add-on, the modem itself is designed to allow you to access the web via your PC (as I understand it, internet add-ons are designed to allow you to use your mobile phone to browse the web).

Tell us what computer/operating system you're using. Maybe someone else has had similar problems with a similar setup. I'm using 3 mobile broadband (with a different modem) and although it's sometimes frustratingly slooooow(!) it does work.

Hope you have some success!

Hi yes my lap top is a compaq 6720s and its running vista office and i use fire fox for my browser., far be it for me to question it but the instructions do state that i have to choose how i want to spend the money in the account, ie the money is there but i have to tell 3 how i want to spend it. Did i say it is on pay as you go not contract.

Thanks for your help so far.

Steve

I had problems with my home broadband once, a caleld tiscali many times, just said the same each time, got so frustrated, so we called them again and told them straight what was wrong, because i knew, and had done everything they have told us to do, then after what i said, they told me, that i had a problem on my line, and fixed it, why didnt they do that in the first place?
