Hi i am trying to get the best speed possible for my broadband and someone told me the quality of filter on the phone line can be a factor , is this true? what is the best filter to use? thanks
you want to get yourself one of these ADSL Nation - XF-1e - Professional Microfilter they are the best about IMO , and yes the adsl filter does matter but probably wont make a huge speed difference
It will make a diffrence but a very small one
My Isp said if i have slow speeds it my my help changeing the Adsl Filter to one which is more money but it will only increase speeds by 10-50kbps
if your lucky
So if your desprete for faster speeds and have the moneyt it may be worth changeing the filter

I have just replaced the filter on my line and seen the noise level drop and the speed increase by 1200k (2500 to 4700 in round figures)
Probably due to a problem with one of the old filters rather than all being attributable to the quality of the new one, but worth bearing in mind if you are seeing poor performance
There Must Of Been A Problem There With That Filter If The Speed Has Increased That Much,,, Its Good That You Changed It
