After having the Sky broadband for a week now, I feel quite satisfied actually. I was previously with PlusNet, whose customer service was great, plus the connection was quite reliable. Switched only because Sky was so much cheaper. I am now getting twice the speed what I used to get on PlusNet (both are listed as "upto 8mbps")... it's a fast 6.5mbps when tested on speedtest.net or 4.5mbps when tested on broadbandspeedchecker. Dont know why the difference in the speed shown, but it sure feels fast. And no dropped connections yet. Yes I did have to play around with the channel for WiFi 'coz not all my laptops/smartphones were able to connect initially. But everything works now. Yoohoo!
Got a Sagem modem-router just couple of days after placing the order (54g with internal antenna). The switchover was done early morning on the date specified by Sky too. Couldn't have been better, I thought. |
One thing what pops in to mind, your the first person i have heard who has not had a problem with sky.
