Talking 3 Employee (cellsite Strenth Tester) - 05-01-08, 07:54 PM

Hi Try Downloading 3s Mobile Broadband Speed Booster To Up The Download Speed This Has Only Just Been Released And There Are Reports That It Is Not Compliant With Some Systems It Uses Data Compression And This Can Interfere With Video Content Youtube Ect . The Software Can Only Be Found At Present On 3s Irish Site As Its Under Review
Finally Make Sure The Dongle Is Only Plugged Into A Dedicated Usb Port Not A Hub Of Any Sort I Get 3.8mbs In London Nw Now I Used To Get 1.8mbs

Default got the link? - 13-01-08, 11:24 PM

Hiya
Don't suppose you could share the link for that nifty speed booster? I couldn't find it. I'm getting a paltry .41mbs in West London, so I'm in urgent need of something...
Cheers!
Donna

You are probably in a "2G" area which gives lower data rates than if you are in a "3G" area with a strong signal

Perhaps it would help you if 3 could say where the nearest 3G coverage is to your area, or when it is planned to be available

Default Speed booster? - 26-07-08, 10:55 AM

I have same problem -- painfully slow, w.London. It's a 3G area, and my first month's speed was fine. Any help appreciated.

Recently got a Three dongle "Broadband Plus". I can connect to the internet but it then won't let me get onto Internet Explorer Browser. I have an Acer Aspire 5610Z with Windows Vista. Anyone else had the same problem and found a soluntion please?

i got the pay as you go 3 dongle. althought i live in the coverage area, i am in a valley which can make reception difficult .... cannot even get vodaphone. at first the dongle couldnt connect so i tried other areas of my house and success!! at the front of the house upstairs in front of a window and i get full speed :-) so try what i did. good luck :-)
