Different Testers, Different Speed?

I'm on Virgin cable, 4Mbps package. If I use broadband.org/speedtest, I'm reported as 1.4Mbps. If I link from that test page to the broadbandchoices.org speed test, I'm reported as 3.6Mbps, i.e. same PC, same time, two quite different speeds. Anybody got any idea why? Which speed do I believe?

Well I Was Going To Run The Speed Test On broadbandchoices.org Just To See for MySelf That It Is A Diffrent Speed Result, But It Comes It With Page Not Found.

Broadband.org speed test, tests what the currnet speed you can download and upload, broadbandchoices.org might test what the maxium you can download on your line at any time if the day, so what your line can handle.

But becuase i can not get on broadbandchoices.org myself and see the results what i get i can not prove what i say, but it could be the reason.

If u dont belive that broadband.org speed test is right, well try tiscali. They both have the same speed results.
