What is the cheapest PAYG broadband/internet package

My father in law is looking for a cheap pay as you go or broadband package as he is a pensioner and only uses the internet occasionally. He has a computer and enjoys searching for things on the web at our house but would like something at home. He has a BT line and don't think he is interested in cable. Also he does not have SKY TV so cannot get their free package.

Can anyone out there help please?

Well If he wants pay as you go, simply go with BT.
