hello all ,i just got a vodafone mobile broadband dongle from a friend ,he gave it to me to use as i am in the process of migrating ISP's ,he told me go get a sim card and load it with 10 quid and that should be enough for a weeks browsing forums etc.I went to a couple of shops here and they told me they only do monthly contracts ,is this true for mobile broadband or do I just need to buy a vodafone sim card and load it with 10 quid and stick it in usb modem and away we go ? any input is appreciated.

PS my friends away on holiday so i could not ask for specifics,thats why i am asking here
