The wireless broadband you will have heard people talking about is not a specific type of broadband or ISP. What this is, is simply a different type of modem, or router that has the ability to send and receive its internet signal to remote devices such as phones and laptops as well as your home PC. This wireless router can be used with any type of existing broadband. If this is what you are after you can still shop around for ISPs as usual however just make sure you get a wireless router as part of the package or buy one seperately. This may be slightly more expensive however it is invaluable if you have a laptop in the house or home computers in different rooms. Sending and receiving information over a wireless router (or via Wi-Fi) is safe and secure when properly set up. It can be encrypted to make sure the information sent over the signal is safe and that the signal can only be used by authorised people.
