Most Broadband Packages come with a "Usage limit" or "cap" or the service may have "unlimited downloads" but even then most unlimited services are restricted to a "fair use policy" which varies from provider to provider.

A monthly download limit is exactly as the name suggests the amount you can download in month which is included for free in your package, a bit like mobile phone call allowance

if you go over your limit you are usually charged per extra GB used so its best to find a package that will have enough of a limit to cover you even in a month of heavy usage. see here if you want to monitor your bandwidth usage
